Who Is Jesus?

By Wayne Harmon

Today’s article is a bit different. It is a “homework assignment” for all of us.

I want each of you to answer the question, “Who is Jesus?” Notice the question is “Who IS Jesus?” It is not who WAS Jesus.

Your answers have to meet two requirements:

(1) I’m not asking about the historical Jesus. We all know the answer to that question.

(2) You may NOT use the Bible in your answer. This question is who is the Jesus that you know.

If you choose the share your answers, you may do so using the reply feature at the end of this article.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Wayne

  1. Jesus first and foremost is my friend. When I’m depressed and think that nothing can go right, Jesus is the one that I can talk to and confide in. I know that he already knows what’s going on but it feels good to talk or vent. I don’t complain necessarily, but I just talk to him, sometimes I “cry on his shoulder.” I ask him for guidance on making the right decisions. In the same sense, when I am blessed with a answer or miracle, I always try to thank him. I’m not even close to being a good “Christian” but I always try to remember that without Jesus, I would be nothing.

  2. Jesus is my spiritual teacher, my inner light of faith and hope. He is my direct link to God. He is my life line in a world of complete confusion and destruction. He is my hope for greater things to come. He is the one who died on the cross so that I could be saved and forgiven. He is my direct link into the next phase my journey after I take my last breath. Jesus is my everything! Gwen
